* fs: make it behave a bit more like the package infraGravatar Yann E. MORIN2018-01-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently, to register a filesystem, one has to call: $(eval $(call ROOTFS_TARGET,blabla)) This is very unlike the package infrastructure, where the name of the package is automatically guessed by the infra. It turns out that we can now do that for the filesystem infra too. Signed-off-by: "Yann E. MORIN" <yann.morin.1998@free.fr> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* fs/ubifs: spin-off ubi to be its own filesystemGravatar Yann E. MORIN2018-01-033-91/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently, the ubifs-in-ubi-image ("UBI image" thereafter) filesystem is half an option of the ubifs filesystem, half a filesystem on its own: the config options are options of the ubifs filesystem, but the .mk code is in a separate .mk and registers a real filesystem. Make it a full filesystem on its own, in its own directory tree. Signed-off-by: "Yann E. * fs/ubifs: split long line, use simple asignmentGravatar Yann E. MORIN2017-12-271-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | This line has been sitting there unchanged for years now, but it does not follow current best pratices, that is: - do not use imediate assignment, - split lines longer than ~80 chars. Fix that. Signed-off-by: "Yann E. MORIN" <yann.morin.1998@free.fr> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* Globally replace $(HOST_DIR)/usr/sbin with $(HOST_DIR)/sbinGravatar Arnout Vandecappelle2017-07-052-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Since things are no longer installed in $(HOST_DIR)/usr, the callers should also not refer to it. This is a mechanical change with git grep -l '$(HOST_DIR)/usr/sbin' | xargs sed -i 's%$(HOST_DIR)/usr/sbin%$(HOST_DIR)/sbin%g' Signed-off-by: Arnout Vandecappelle (Essensium/Mind) <arnout@mind.be> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* fs/ubifs: work around fakeroot / sed -i issue on systems with SELinux enabledGravatar Peter Korsgaard2016-11-271-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fixes #9386 GNU sed -i misbehaves on systems with SELinux enabled, as it tries to copy to the SELinux security context (xattr) from the source file to to the new destination file, which fails under fakeroot and leaves the file with 000 permissions, causing ubinize to fail when it cannot read to configuration file. So as a workaround, combine the install and tweak steps in a single sed with a redirect to the destination file instead. Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>

* fs/ubi: add option to use custom ubinize config fileGravatar Danomi Manchego2014-02-083-6/+32
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | By default, the UBI FS target creates a ubinize configuration file on-the-fly, for a single volume. Add an option to specify a custom config file. E.g., one might want to deploy a system with a volume for the built ubifs image, a volume for a future upgrade image, and a volume for user data. * ubifs filesystem image: line up and improve Config.in optionsGravatar Thomas De Schampheleire2013-09-121-11/+20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Triggered by the 'some comment required here', this patch updates the Config.in comments for the ubifs filesystem image options. This includes: - 'erase block' --> 'eraseblock' (following mtd online documentation) - remove 'UBI' prefix to make options uniform. Sometimes the option is not a property of UBI but rather of the flash. Also, line up the name of the option with the help of mkfs.ubifs. - add help text on all options, referring to the mkfs.ubifs/ubinize options Signed-off-by: Thomas De Schampheleire <thomas.de.schampheleire@gmail.com> Acked-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <jacmet@sunsite.dk>

* fs/ubifs: factorize all the "depends on" into "if...endif" blocksGravatar Mark Jackson2013-04-251-10/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | Factorize all the "depends on" into "if...endif" blocks All the UBIFS options use "depends on BR2_TARGET_ROOTFS_UBIFS" but we can simplify the config file by enclosing them in an "if..endif" block. * fs/common.mk: delay evaluation of variablesGravatar Arnout Vandecappelle (Essensium/Mind)2013-01-202-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This makes things easier to understand and more consistent with the pkg-infra. For example, it removes the need for '$$@' in the CMD variables of fs/*/*.mk. It also makes it possible to update the variables later, e.g. in the package override file. It also makes sure that the date will be recorded correctly in Yann E. Morin's patch that logs the MESSAGE macros to a file. The fs/*/*.mk must be updated as well because the '$@' shouldn't be quoted anymore in the CMD variables or the hooks. The $(eval ...) for the dependencies is redundant, because the $(ROOTFS_TARGET) variable is already eval'd. Note that it is only redundant if the evaluation of the uses of the variable is also delayed. * ubifs: Add UBI image generation support.Gravatar Julien Boibessot2011-01-113-0/+51
| | | | | | | | | | | | UBI images are generated from UBIFS one (with ubinize tool) and are used by bootloaders (eg U-Boot) to write UBIFS images directly on bare NAND FLASH (see http://www.linux-mtd.infradead.org/faq/ubi.html).
