| | | | | | | | | | | Add two upstream patches to fix build with glibc 2.28, see: https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?54591 Fixes: - http://autobuild.buildroot.org/results/0d25efeb09a6afc386eadf1a81d3a4a34eb9a989 Signed-off-by: Fabrice Fontaine <fontaine.fabrice@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>
* boot, package: use SPDX short identifier for GPLv3/GPLv3+Gravatar Rahul Bedarkar2017-04-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | We want to use SPDX identifier for license string as much as possible. SPDX short identifier for GPLv3/GPLv3+ is GPL-3.0/GPL-3.0+. This change is done using following command. find . -name "*.mk" | xargs sed -ri '/LICENSE( )?[\+:]?=/s/\<GPLv3\>/GPL-3.0/g' Signed-off-by: Rahul Bedarkar <rahulbedarkar89@gmail.com> Acked-by: Arnout Vandecappelle (Essensium/Mind) <arnout@mind.be> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* package: move busybox show others dependency to per-packageGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2016-07-041-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Having the BR2_PACKAGE_BUSYBOX_SHOW_OTHERS dependencies in package/Config.in is not very practical: it makes this file not very readable, and puts the dependency away from the package itself, which can sometimes be confusing. Therefore, this commit moves the dependency in each package Config.in file. Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>

* Config.in files: add missing dependencies to toolchain option commentsGravatar Thomas De Schampheleire2013-11-101-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When a package A depends on config option B and toolchain option C, then the comment that is given when C is not fulfilled should also depend on B. For example: config BR2_PACKAGE_A depends on BR2_B depends on BR2_LARGEFILE depends on BR2_WCHAR comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR This comment should actually be: comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on BR2_B depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR or if possible (typically when B is a package config option declared in that same Config.in file): if BR2_B comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR [other config options depending on B] endif Otherwise, the comment would be visible even though the other dependencies are not met. This patch adds such missing dependencies, and changes existing such dependencies from depends on BR2_BASE_DEP && !BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC to depends on BR2_BASE_DEP depends on !BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC so that (positive) base dependencies are separate from the (negative) toolchain dependencies. This strategy makes it easier to write such comments (because one can simply copy the base dependency from the actual package config option), but also avoids complex and long boolean expressions. * package: remove useless arguments from AUTOTARGETSGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2011-09-291-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Thanks to the pkgparentdir and pkgname functions, we can rewrite the AUTOTARGETS macro in a way that avoids the need for each package to repeat its name and the directory in which it is present. * Do not let packages remove man pages, info pages and documentationGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2010-04-111-7/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The cleanup of $(TARGET_DIR)/usr/share/man, $(TARGET_DIR)/usr/man, $(TARGET_DIR)/usr/share/info, $(TARGET_DIR)/usr/info, $(TARGET_DIR)/usr/share/doc and $(TARGET_DIR)/usr/doc is already done globally in the main Makefile. Therefore, there's no need to handle that on a per-package basis. Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>

* buildroot: silence ./configure step when building with 'make -s'Gravatar Peter Korsgaard2009-10-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | We have been passing -q to ./configure when using 'make -s' for packages using Makefile.autotools.in for some time. Do the same for packages using autotools, but not using the Makefile.autotools.in infrastructure, taking care to not do it for packages with hand written configure scripts. * fixup a whole steaming pile of insanity. When packages are configured,Gravatar Eric Andersen2007-01-141-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | they should be configured with --prefix=/usr and we then need to use make DESTDIR=$(STAGING_DIR) install to get things installed into the staging directory. The current situation for many packages, which use --prefix=$(STAGING_DIR) results in the staging_dir paths getting compiled into the binary itself. This also adds in a pile of libtool fixups. Between broken pkgconfig, broken libtool handling, and broken --prefix settings, its a wonder things have worked as well as they have up till now. -Erik
