* package/lvm2: lvmetad integrationGravatar Pascal de Bruijn2020-04-191-0/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | lvmetad is usually combined with event-based system services that automatically run pvscan --cache on disks added or removed. This way, the cache is automatically updated with metadata from new disks when they appear. LVM udev rules and systemd services implement this automation. Automatic scanning is usually combined with automatic activation. For more information, see pvscan(8). * package/*/Config.in: fix property order warning of check-packageGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2017-12-181-1/+1

* lvm2: make basic package available under muslGravatar Peter Korsgaard2017-10-291-4/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The basic lvm2 package (libdevmapper / dmsetup) does build under musl, only the standard (full) installation doesn't. Many setups only need the basic package, so move the !musl dependencies down to the sub options and adjust the reverse dependencies (cryptsetup/dmraid) to match. * package/l*: fix wrapping of Config.in help textGravatar Adam Duskett2017-07-311-10/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The check-package script when ran gives warnings on text wrapping on all of these Config files. This patch cleans up all warnings related to the text wrapping for the Config files starting with the letter l in the package directory. The appropriate indentation is: <tab><2 spaces><62 chars> See http://nightly.buildroot.org/#writing-rules-config-in for more information. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | lvm2 needs floorl() amnd nearbyintl(), which uClibc does not provide for all architectures. The simplest solution is to just disable lvm2 for uClibc. * package/lvm2: disable for musl toolchainsGravatar Romain Naour2016-10-251-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | lvm2 doesn't build with musl toolchains due to several assignment of read-only variable like stdin, stdout and stderr. Also, it use mallinfo function which is not available with musl. These issues has been reported upstream [2] but some of them remains even with the latest stable release 2.02.163. * Rename BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to BR2_STATIC_LIBSGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2014-12-111-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since a while, the semantic of BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB has been changed from "prefer static libraries when possible" to "use only static libraries". The former semantic didn't make much sense, since the user had absolutely no control/idea of which package would use static libraries, and which packages would not. Therefore, for quite some time, we have been starting to enforce that BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB should really build everything with static libraries. As a consequence, this patch renames BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to BR2_STATIC_LIBS, and adjust the Config.in option accordingly. This also helps preparing the addition of other options to select shared, shared+static or just static. Note that we have verified that this commit can be reproduced by simply doing a global rename of BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to BR2_STATIC_LIBS plus adding BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to Config.in.legacy. * lvm2: replace !BR2_PACKAGE_LVM2_DMSETUP_ONLY by ↵Gravatar Arnout Vandecappelle2013-11-281-6/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | BR2_PACKAGE_LVM2_STANDARD_INSTALL BR2_PACKAGE_LVM2_DMSETUP_ONLY is a "negative" option that disables build and install of part of the suite. This option cannot be unselected by other config options, which gives a problem for BR2_PACKAGE_UDISKS_LVM2: it needs BR2_PACKAGE_LVM2_APP_LIBRARY, which requires the full suite. Therefore, replace the negative BR2_PACKAGE_LVM2_DMSETUP_ONLY by a positive BR2_PACKAGE_LVM2_STANDARD_INSTALL. To make sure that existing defconfigs keep working, the new option defaults to y unless the legacy BR2_PACKAGE_LVM2_DMSETUP_ONLY was selected. * Config.in files: add missing dependencies to toolchain option commentsGravatar Thomas De Schampheleire2013-11-101-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When a package A depends on config option B and toolchain option C, then the comment that is given when C is not fulfilled should also depend on B. For example: config BR2_PACKAGE_A depends on BR2_B depends on BR2_LARGEFILE depends on BR2_WCHAR comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR This comment should actually be: comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on BR2_B depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR or if possible (typically when B is a package config option declared in that same Config.in file): if BR2_B comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR [other config options depending on B] endif Otherwise, the comment would be visible even though the other dependencies are not met. This patch adds such missing dependencies, and changes existing such dependencies from depends on BR2_BASE_DEP && !BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC to depends on BR2_BASE_DEP depends on !BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC so that (positive) base dependencies are separate from the (negative) toolchain dependencies. This strategy makes it easier to write such comments (because one can simply copy the base dependency from the actual package config option), but also avoids complex and long boolean expressions.
