* package/lvm2: lvmetad integrationGravatar Pascal de Bruijn2020-04-192-0/+19
| | | | | | | | | | | | lvmetad is usually combined with event-based system services that automatically run pvscan --cache on disks added or removed. This way, the cache is automatically updated with metadata from new disks when they appear. LVM udev rules and systemd services implement this automation. Automatic scanning is usually combined with automatic activation. For more information, see pvscan(8). * package/lvm2: install udev rulesGravatar Pascal de Bruijn2020-01-071-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | Without the device-mapper udev rules, dm devices will not get a proper symlink like /dev/disk/by-label/LABEL, which in turn causes fstab LABEL= mounts to fails. And by extension causes shenanigans with systemd, where it will unmount a manually mounted disk because it can't resolve the label. | | | | | | | | | | | | lvm2 is licensed under GPL-2.0, which is not license compatible with readline (GPL-3.0+), so drop the optional dependency and add a comment explaining why. * lvm2: host variant needs host-libaioGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2018-08-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since the bump of lvm2 to 2.02.180 in commit 8e666bf29e762f3c7681a48d0ee350f8396d798f, lvm2 needs libaio. This was properly taken into account for the target lvm2 variant, but not the host lvm2 variant. This commit adds host-libaio as a dependency of host-lvm2. * package/lvm2: Fix runtime crash when using uclibcGravatar Marcin Niestroj2018-08-142-1/+279
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When using uclibc libdevmapper.so was calling dm_task_get_info_base() function recursively, leading to segmentation fault. This was happening because uclibc linker loader just takes first existing 'dm_task_get_info' (which is 'dm_task_get_info_base') symbol in elf binary, instead of default version. Add upstreamable lvm2 patch [1], which introduces --enable-symvers[=STYLE] switch. Use that switch to disable symbol versions, as we do not plan to support binaries compiled against old libdevmapper library. Fixes bug #10781. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | lvm2 doesn't build with musl toolchains due to several assignment of read-only variable like stdin, stdout and stderr.
