* package/newt: bump version to 0.52.21Gravatar Bernd Kuhls2019-11-042-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | Changelog: https://pagure.io/newt/blob/master/f/CHANGES Removed MAKE1 after upstream fixed parallel build. Added upstream provided hashes and license hash. Signed-off-by: Bernd Kuhls <bernd.kuhls@t-online.de> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@bootlin.com>
* package/*/Config.in: fix help text check-package warningsGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2017-12-181-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit fixes the warnings reported by check-package on the help text of all package Config.in files, related to the formatting of the help text: should start with a tab, then 2 spaces, then at most 62 characters. The vast majority of warnings fixed were caused by too long lines. A few warnings were related to spaces being used instead of a tab to indent the help text. * newt: use the new gettext logicGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2017-07-052-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit switches to use the new gettext logic, which involves: - using TARGET_NLS_DEPENDENCIES instead of hand-encoded dependencies on gettext/host-gettext - using TARGET_NLS_LIBS to force linking against libintl - dropping BR2_PACKAGE_GETTEXT selection Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* boot, linux, package: use SPDX short identifier for GPLv2/GPLv2+Gravatar Rahul Bedarkar2017-04-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | We want to use SPDX identifier for license strings as much as possible. SPDX short identifier for GPLv2/GPLv2+ is GPL-2.0/GPL-2.0+. This change is done by using following command. find . -name "*.mk" | xargs sed -ri '/LICENSE( )?[\+:]?=/s/\<GPLv2\>/GPL-2.0/g' Signed-off-by: Rahul Bedarkar <rahulbedarkar89@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>

* newt: not available for static only buildsGravatar Peter Korsgaard2015-05-221-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fixes: http://autobuild.buildroot.net/results/a40/a400e1fe7291d3bd3171ad04ce5fd7ba235d39af/ http://autobuild.buildroot.net/results/ec3/ec38d0f1d1faa2a87321bab10f87772eb819adc9/ http://autobuild.buildroot.net/results/7cb/7cbc8cd265d527c7b56d57e511903b23a4a84489/ newt uses autoconf but not automake, and unconditionally tries to build a .so file - So it doesn't work in static only builds. The only reverse dependency is network-manager, which already depends on glibc. Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>
* newt: cleanup patchesGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2015-01-103-28/+49
| | | | | | | | This commit slightly cleans up the newt patches: use Git formatted patches, improve title and description. This was done in preparation for the upstream submission of those patches. Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>

* packages: rename FOO_CONF_OPT into FOO_CONF_OPTSGravatar Thomas De Schampheleire2014-10-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | To be consistent with the recent change of FOO_MAKE_OPT into FOO_MAKE_OPTS, make the same change for FOO_CONF_OPT. Sed command used: find * -type f | xargs sed -i 's#_CONF_OPT\>#&S#g' Signed-off-by: Thomas De Schampheleire <thomas.de.schampheleire@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: "Yann E. * package: remove the trailing slash sign from <PKG>_SITE variableGravatar Jerzy Grzegorek2014-07-311-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Since the trailing slash is stripped from $($(PKG)_SITE) by pkg-generic.mk: $(call DOWNLOAD,$($(PKG)_SITE:/=)/$($(PKG)_SOURCE)) so it is redundant. This patch removes it from $(PKG)_SITE variable for BR consistency. * DOWNLOAD: change $1=DIRECTORY_URL, $2=FILE_NAME to $1=FULL_FILE_URL, ↵Gravatar Alvaro G. M2012-03-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | $2=FILE_NAME This modifies the definition of DOWNLOAD to receive two arguments: the first one is the full URL of the file to download, whereas the second (and optional) is the name the file will have once downloaded. Same thing with the SOURCE_CHECK_WGET and SCP functions. All calls to these functions have been changed to the shortest form of the new API, except for toolchains acquisition. Since there is quite a number of different toolchains this call to DOWNLOAD is better set to the generic one. Signed-off-by: Alvaro G. * buildroot: silence ./configure step when building with 'make -s'Gravatar Peter Korsgaard2009-10-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | We have been passing -q to ./configure when using 'make -s' for packages using Makefile.autotools.in for some time. Do the same for packages using autotools, but not using the Makefile.autotools.in infrastructure, taking care to not do it for packages with hand written configure scripts. * fixup a whole steaming pile of insanity. When packages are configured,Gravatar Eric Andersen2007-01-141-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | they should be configured with --prefix=/usr and we then need to use make DESTDIR=$(STAGING_DIR) install to get things installed into the staging directory. The current situation for many packages, which use --prefix=$(STAGING_DIR) results in the staging_dir paths getting compiled into the binary itself. This also adds in a pile of libtool fixups. Between broken pkgconfig, broken libtool handling, and broken --prefix settings, its a wonder things have worked as well as they have up till now. -Erik
