* package/patch: fix xattr optionGravatar Yann E. MORIN2018-05-061-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | The name of the configure option is, and has always been, --enable-xattr, not --enable-attr. Otherwise, configure whines: configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --enable-attr Signed-off-by: "Yann E. MORIN" <yann.morin.1998@free.fr> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>
* patch: add upstream security fixGravatar Baruch Siach2018-04-093-0/+196
| | | | | | | | | | | Fixes CVE-2018-1000156: arbitrary command execution in ed-style patches. Depend on MMU for now, because the patch adds a fork() call. Upstream later switched to gnulib provided execute(), so this dependency can be dropped on the next version bump. * patch: security bump to version 2.7.6Gravatar Baruch Siach2018-02-233-2/+37
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fixes CVE-2016-10713: Out-of-bounds access within pch_write_line() in pch.c can possibly lead to DoS via a crafted input file. Add upstream patch fixing CVE-2018-6951: There is a segmentation fault, associated with a NULL pointer dereference, leading to a denial of service in the intuit_diff_type function in pch.c, aka a "mangled rename" issue. This bump does NOT fix CVE-2018-6952. See upstream bug #53133 (https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/index.php?53133). Add license file hash. Signed-off-by: Baruch Siach <baruch@tkos.co.il> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>
* package/*/Config.in: fix help text check-package warningsGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2017-12-181-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit fixes the warnings reported by check-package on the help text of all package Config.in files, related to the formatting of the help text: should start with a tab, then 2 spaces, then at most 62 characters. The vast majority of warnings fixed were caused by too long lines. A few warnings were related to spaces being used instead of a tab to indent the help text. Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* boot, package: use SPDX short identifier for GPLv3/GPLv3+Gravatar Rahul Bedarkar2017-04-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | We want to use SPDX identifier for license string as much as possible. SPDX short identifier for GPLv3/GPLv3+ is GPL-3.0/GPL-3.0+. This change is done using following command. find . -name "*.mk" | xargs sed -ri '/LICENSE( )?[\+:]?=/s/\<GPLv3\>/GPL-3.0/g' Signed-off-by: Rahul Bedarkar <rahulbedarkar89@gmail.com> Acked-by: Arnout Vandecappelle (Essensium/Mind) <arnout@mind.be> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* package: move busybox show others dependency to per-packageGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2016-07-041-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Having the BR2_PACKAGE_BUSYBOX_SHOW_OTHERS dependencies in package/Config.in is not very practical: it makes this file not very readable, and puts the dependency away from the package itself, which can sometimes be confusing. Therefore, this commit moves the dependency in each package Config.in file. Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>
* package/patch: add optional support for attrGravatar Bernd Kuhls2016-02-211-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | When attr was compiled before, patch will use it as optional dependency: $ output/host/usr/bin/x86_64-linux-readelf -a output/target/usr/bin/patch | grep NEEDED 0x0000000000000001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libattr.so.1] 0x0000000000000001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libc.so.1] Signed-off-by: Bernd Kuhls <bernd.kuhls@t-online.de> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>

* all packages: rename XXXTARGETS to xxx-packageGravatar Arnout Vandecappelle (Essensium/Mind)2012-07-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Also remove the redundant $(call ...). This is a purely mechanical change, performed with find package linux toolchain boot -name \*.mk | \ xargs sed -i -e 's/$(eval $(call GENTARGETS))/$(eval $(generic-package))/' \ -e 's/$(eval $(call AUTOTARGETS))/$(eval $(autotools-package))/' \ -e 's/$(eval $(call CMAKETARGETS))/$(eval $(cmake-package))/' Signed-off-by: Arnout Vandecappelle (Essensium/Mind) <arnout@mind.be> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* package: remove useless arguments from AUTOTARGETSGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2011-09-291-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Thanks to the pkgparentdir and pkgname functions, we can rewrite the AUTOTARGETS macro in a way that avoids the need for each package to repeat its name and the directory in which it is present. * patch: needs toolchain with wcharGravatar Gustavo Zacarias2010-12-222-3/+7

* packages: remove unneeded _INSTALL_TARGET_OPT definitionsGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2010-09-271-1/+0
| | | | | | | | Now that <pkg>_INSTALL_TARGET_OPT always defaults to 'DESTDIR=$(TARGET_DIR) install', we can remove the <pkg>_INSTALL_TARGET_OPT definition from a lot of packages. Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* patch: convert to the autotools infrastructure and bump versionGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2010-04-131-64/+5
| | | | | | | Bumping the version from 2.5.9 to 2.6 allows to avoid adding a patch (merged upstream) to fix patch's Makefile install target. Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* buildroot: silence ./configure step when building with 'make -s'Gravatar Peter Korsgaard2009-10-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | We have been passing -q to ./configure when using 'make -s' for packages using Makefile.autotools.in for some time. Do the same for packages using autotools, but not using the Makefile.autotools.in infrastructure, taking care to not do it for packages with hand written configure scripts. Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <jacmet@sunsite.dk>
* package: Remove unnecessary dependencies on uclibc.Gravatar Will Newton2009-09-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | A C library will have been built by the toolchain makefiles, so there is no need for packages to explicitly depend on uclibc. Signed-off-by: Will Newton <will.newton@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <jacmet@sunsite.dk>

* fixup a whole steaming pile of insanity. When packages are configured,Gravatar Eric Andersen2007-01-141-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | they should be configured with --prefix=/usr and we then need to use make DESTDIR=$(STAGING_DIR) install to get things installed into the staging directory. The current situation for many packages, which use --prefix=$(STAGING_DIR) results in the staging_dir paths getting compiled into the binary itself. This also adds in a pile of libtool fixups. Between broken pkgconfig, broken libtool handling, and broken --prefix settings, its a wonder things have worked as well as they have up till now. -Erik
