* package/pciutils: bump to version 3.7.0Gravatar Baruch Siach2020-06-041-9/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use CROSS_COMPILE for toolchain prefix. Makefile derives CC, AR, and RANLIB from that. Remove sed manipulation of the lib/configure script. Host uname is not used when the HOST variable is set as we do. Remove sed manipulation of Makefile. Set STRIP to an empty string instead. Format hash file with two space separators. | | | | | | | | | | | We want to use SPDX identifier for license strings as much as possible. SPDX short identifier for GPLv2/GPLv2+ is GPL-2.0/GPL-2.0+. This change is done by using following command. find . -name "*.mk" | xargs sed -ri '/LICENSE( )?[\+:]?=/s/\<GPLv2\>/GPL-2.0/g' Signed-off-by: Rahul Bedarkar <rahulbedarkar89@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>

* pciutils: correct dns disabling logicGravatar Peter Korsgaard2016-01-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fixes #8581 Commit 2c879f95a0 (pciutils: cleanup) refactored the make arguments, but accidently changed the logic to disable dns based lookups to pass PCIUTILS_DNS=no instead of DNS=no, causing the autotection to be used. This autodetection looks at host includes, so it isn't safe for cross compilation. Disable it by setting the correct make variable instead. Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>

* Rename BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to BR2_STATIC_LIBSGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2014-12-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since a while, the semantic of BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB has been changed from "prefer static libraries when possible" to "use only static libraries". The former semantic didn't make much sense, since the user had absolutely no control/idea of which package would use static libraries, and which packages would not. Therefore, for quite some time, we have been starting to enforce that BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB should really build everything with static libraries. As a consequence, this patch renames BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to BR2_STATIC_LIBS, and adjust the Config.in option accordingly. This also helps preparing the addition of other options to select shared, shared+static or just static. Note that we have verified that this commit can be reproduced by simply doing a global rename of BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to BR2_STATIC_LIBS plus adding BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to Config.in.legacy. * pciutils: install to /usr/bin rather than /usr/sbinGravatar Gustavo Zacarias2014-11-281-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | Somehow busybox thinks debian standards are the rule and installs lspci to /usr/bin instead of /usr/sbin where upstream says it belongs. So install pciutils binaries there as well to really win over busybox PATH-wise and overwrite the little bugger symlink. * .mk files: bulk aligment and whitespace cleanup of assignmentsGravatar Thomas De Schampheleire2014-10-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Buildroot coding style defines one space around make assignments and does not align the assignment symbols. This patch does a bulk fix of offending packages. The package infrastructures (or more in general assignments to calculated variable names, like $(2)_FOO) are not touched. Alignment of line continuation characters (\) is kept as-is. The sed command used to do this replacement is: find * -name "*.mk" | xargs sed -i \ -e 's#^\([A-Z0-9a-z_]\+\)\s*\([?:+]\?=\)\s*$#\1 \2#' -e 's#^\([A-Z0-9a-z_]\+\)\s*\([?:+]\?=\)\s*\([^\\]\+\)$#\1 \2 \3#' -e 's#^\([A-Z0-9a-z_]\+\)\s*\([?:+]\?=\)\s*\([^\\ \t]\+\s*\\\)\s*$#\1 \2 \3#' -e 's#^\([A-Z0-9a-z_]\+\)\s*\([?:+]\?=\)\(\s*\\\)#\1 \2\3#' Brief explanation of this command: ^\([A-Z0-9a-z_]\+\) a regular variable at the beginning of the line \([?:+]\?=\) any assignment character =, :=, ?=, += \([^\\]\+\) any string not containing a line continuation \([^\\ \t]\+\s*\\\) string, optional whitespace, followed by a line continuation character \(\s*\\\) optional whitespace, followed by a line continuation character Hence, the first subexpression handles empty assignments, the second handles regular assignments, the third handles regular assignments with line continuation, and the fourth empty assignments with line continuation. This expression was tested on following test text: (initial tab not included) FOO = spaces before FOO = spaces before and after FOO = tab before FOO = tab and spaces before FOO = tab after FOO = tab and spaces after FOO = spaces and tab after FOO = \ FOO = bar \ FOO = bar space \ FOO = \ GENIMAGE_DEPENDENCIES = host-pkgconf libconfuse FOO += spaces before FOO ?= spaces before and after FOO := FOO = FOO = FOO = FOO = $(MAKE1) CROSS_COMPILE=$(TARGET_CROSS) -C AT91BOOTSTRAP3_DEFCONFIG = \ AXEL_DISABLE_I18N=--i18n=0 After this bulk change, following manual fixups were done: - fix line continuation alignment in cegui06 and spice (the sed expression leaves the number of whitespace between the value and line continuation character intact, but the whitespace before that could have changed, causing misalignment. - qt5base was reverted, as this package uses extensive alignment which actually makes the code more readable. Finally, the end result was manually reviewed. Signed-off-by: Thomas De Schampheleire <thomas.de.schampheleire@gmail.com> Cc: Yann E. * Strip *.so* and not only executable filesGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2014-02-041-7/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Our current stripping strategy requires that shared libraries have the executable permission. However, this is by far not something recognized as a standard behavior: Debian/Ubuntu distributions for example do not have executable permissions on their libraries. Therefore, pushing to upstream packages fixes that add the executable permissions is not easy. As a result, this commit improves the stripping logic so that it not only strips the files that are executable, but also the ones that match '*.so*', which should match both the shared libraries and the dlopen()'able plugins, as long as they have a .so extension. Thanks to this addition, a number of manual "chmod +x" done by various packages can be removed. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I have just released version 3.2.1 of the pciutils. It's purely a maintenance release with a couple of minor bug fixes and minor improvements. Thus quoth the changelog: 2013-11-10 Martin Mares <mj@ucw.cz> * Released as 3.2.1. * CardBus bridge capabilities are displayed. * PCIe L1 PM substates are decoded. * Various bugs were fixed in decoding of PCIe capabilities. * The sysfs back-end does not spit out unnecessary warnings when empty slots report only a partial device address. This actually happens on IBM pSeries. * Updated pci.ids to the today's snapshot of the database. | | | | | | | | | | | | If we don't pass SHARED when installing we miss the shared library symlinks (libpci.so & libpci.so.3). * pciutils: fix access to pci.ids and make update-pciids work with busybox wgetGravatar Peter Korsgaard2010-05-241-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Closes #1819 Fix two issues with pciutils: - pciutils would look in /usr/share/misc for pci.ids, but install it in /usr/share. This is because pciutils doesn't use a ./configure script, so we have to also provide the configuration (make) arguments when we run make install as well. Fix it by making it look into /usr/share as that's simpler to do, and is what upstream does. - the update-pciids script would call wget with the --no-timestamping option, which isn't supported by busybox wget. Fix it by simply removing that option as it isn't really critical. Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <jacmet@sunsite.dk>

Using $@ fixes this, the directory path is created and the file is installed as /usr/share/misc/pci.ids[.gz] .
