* Revert "zeromq: needs NPTL"Gravatar Waldemar Brodkorb2018-06-301-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | This reverts commit 1e2a8d4111f57e79c1848c7a70c6501e2bdacd58. Since version 1.0.30, uClibc-ng release supports the missing functions even for Linuxthreads, therefore the dependency on NPTL is no longer needed. * zeromq: needs NPTLGravatar Baruch Siach2018-04-191-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The recent zeromq version bump to 4.2.5 added a call to pthread_condattr_setclock() which is only provided by the NPTL implementation of pthreads. Add this dependency to zeromq and all reverse dependencies recursively. * zeromq: patch configure.ac to check for ldaddr on when checking libunwindGravatar Asaf Kahlon2018-04-152-0/+47
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | configure.ac can fail the build when there's no dynamic library support, since it cannot find dladdr which is needed only when we have libunwind. Therefore, configure.ac was patched to check for dladdr only in the libunwind check section. As a consequence of the patch, ZEROMQ_AUTORECONF was set. The patch was applied to the zeromq master branch, see: https://github.com/zeromq/libzmq/commit/c971445025535b9f989ab0b78f5ddd1c026f1878 Fixes: http://autobuild.buildroot.net/results/2b1aaf7e35651f04a9e9d0269e49c1b0bd87ae29/ Signed-off-by: Asaf Kahlon <asafka7@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@bootlin.com>

* package/*/Config.in: fix help text check-package warningsGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2017-12-181-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit fixes the warnings reported by check-package on the help text of all package Config.in files, related to the formatting of the help text: should start with a tab, then 2 spaces, then at most 62 characters. The vast majority of warnings fixed were caused by too long lines. A few warnings were related to spaces being used instead of a tab to indent the help text. * zeromq: unbreak pgm supportGravatar Gustavo Zacarias2016-03-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | In the bump to the 4.1.x series the bundled pgm library was dropped and the --with-system-pgm option was made pointless since using unbundled became the only option, so it was renamed to --with-pgm, which previously meant "use bundled" (but not any longer). * Rename BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to BR2_STATIC_LIBSGravatar Thomas Petazzoni2014-12-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since a while, the semantic of BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB has been changed from "prefer static libraries when possible" to "use only static libraries". The former semantic didn't make much sense, since the user had absolutely no control/idea of which package would use static libraries, and which packages would not. Therefore, for quite some time, we have been starting to enforce that BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB should really build everything with static libraries. As a consequence, this patch renames BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to BR2_STATIC_LIBS, and adjust the Config.in option accordingly. This also helps preparing the addition of other options to select shared, shared+static or just static. Note that we have verified that this commit can be reproduced by simply doing a global rename of BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to BR2_STATIC_LIBS plus adding BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to Config.in.legacy. * Config.in files: use if/endif instead of 'depends on' for main symbolGravatar Thomas De Schampheleire2013-12-251-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In the Config.in file of package foo, it often happens that there are other symbols besides BR2_PACKAGE_FOO. Typically, these symbols only make sense when foo itself is enabled. There are two ways to express this: with depends on BR2_PACKAGE_FOO in each extra symbol, or with if BR2_PACKAGE_FOO ... endif around the entire set of extra symbols. The if/endif approach avoids the repetition of 'depends on' statements on multiple symbols, so this is clearly preferred. But even when there is only one extra symbol, if/endif is a more logical choice: - it is future-proof for when extra symbols are added - it allows to have just one strategy instead of two (less confusion) This patch modifies the Config.in files accordingly. | | | | | | | | | | | | OpenPGM builds incorrectly on AVR32 with gcc-4.2.2-avr32-2.1.5. Since it is presumed to be the only GCC version used by Buildroot for AVR32, this patch disables openpgm for all cases when AVR32 is selected as the target architecture, including when a toolchain is downloaded or preinstalled (this is what Buildroot autobuilders do). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | openpgm doesn't build correctly on AVR32 using gcc-4.2.2-avr32-2.1.5 toolchain: it is configured to call intrinsic atomic functions not provided by the toolchain, so they are propagated as unresolved external symbols in the built openpgm libraries. This breaks programs that try to link openpgm, because they do not know where to get those either. For instance, it breaks building zeromq tests when PGM support is selected. This commit disables openpgm on AVR32 due to apparent absence of interest in this package on that architecture and it breaking too many test builds.
